Mary Maloney, the founder of Bee's Knees Interior Design Studio in Hopkinton, MA needed a website design created quickly for her new interior design business. I met Mary at a Real Estate Staging Association meeting. I was asked to speak at the conference on the topics of marketing and website design. I was contacted soon after to design a brand identity and to build a Squarespace website. Mary sought to brand the firm as one that creates beautiful, livable spaces for homeowners of average means.

The logo was designed using a Napoleonic Bee as the icon and typography with a bit of a modern/retro look. Architectural photographs were taken of one of their first projects. This was completed as part of the website design project. The photography is being used to illustrate their aesthetic sense as part of an online portfolio.

The homepage for this interior design and home staging website has two large images that allow click-throughs to the service pages. The custom designed calls to action are intentionally dark to attract a readers attention.

This portfolio page has a grid of images that when clicked take the visitor to the project page and the project pages have a traditional gallery with visible thumbnails.
