#2 A sub-headline is almost as important. Sub-headlines explain what your site has to offer in a concise and to the point manner, yet show why your offerings are valuable. Let’s take this idea of an interior designer's website as an example - a featured headline might read, “Boston’s Most Celebrated Interior Design Firm”, with a sub-heading that states, “Innovative Interior Designer for High-Net-Worth Clientele”. You should include a large H1 sub headline within your article as well as a set of H2 and H3 subheadlines.

#3 What is your "Unique Sales Proposition?" It not only matters what you have to offer but WHY.  What you offer is important in the lives of website visitors. Take a moment to list a few of your reasons why what you do matters. An example of this might be:

  • "High-quality interior design: Have your living space designed by renowned, experienced professionals."
  • "Renovate an old kitchen into a new, updated look fit for you."
  • "Customization: Give your living space a look that uniquely fits your style."

These points not only highlight the offerings of this interior design company but show why their services matter- they provide the ultimate level of personalization to living spaces.

#4 A Call-to-Action is a graphic or button that encourages a visitor to learn more about the services you offer. It can be informational and guide the prospect through an interior design process or be more precise about the services you offer.

#5 Along with highlighting your benefits, providing a list of key features is also beneficial in drawing people to your services. Items talked about in this section could include, “On site visit to survey living space- this allows our designers to get a feel for the space to be redesigned”, “One-on-one planning sessions with you and designer to personalize the plan for your living space”, “Sketches and typed up plans of designs provided- this allows you to preview the plan for your space”. These statements provide people with a better understanding of your services.
